Kicking Horse Mountain Resort rises to 2,450 metres above the town of Golden, British Columbia, in the heart of the Columbia Mountains. From the summit, the view is staggering — the Purcell and Rocky Mountain ranges stretching in every direction, peak after peak after peak, with no end in sight. This is big mountain terrain: steep couloirs, open bowls, and some of the deepest powder in Canada. Kicking Horse receives an average of 750 centimetres of snowfall each season and has a vertical drop of 1,260 metres — one of the greatest in North America. It is not a resort for the timid. It is a resort for those who came to ski.
