The Giant of Provence doesn’t negotiate.
Mont Ventoux stands alone. At 1,909 metres, it rises from the flat plains of Provence with no neighbouring peaks to soften the approach — just an exposed, relentless climb through forest, then scrub, then the bare white limestone moonscape that gives the summit its reputation. The wind can hit 300 kilometres per hour at the top. In summer, the heat radiating off the pale rock is brutal. The red-and-white weather mast is visible for miles before you reach it, which is its own particular cruelty.
On the roadside near the summit stands the memorial to Tom Simpson, the British rider who collapsed and died here during the 1967 Tour de France. Cyclists still leave water bottles, race numbers and jerseys at the stone. The Ventoux demands respect. It always has.

Hassle-Free Exchanges
- If your order arrives damaged then we will send a replacement provided you notify us within 14 days of receipt. Please note that the natural character traits of wood are not considered damage ... these are wood signs after all. We suggest the maple option if you prefer less in terms of "character".
- Any non-personalized products can be returned within 30 days for a refund, however you will need to pay for shipping if for any reason other than damage or wrong product and they must arrive back in the original condition.
