Germany's greatest mountain town. Home of the Zugspitze, the Kandahar, and a ski racing tradition that stretches back to the 1936 Winter Olympics.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen sits at 720 metres in the Bavarian Alps, in the shadow of the Zugspitze — Germany's highest peak at 2,962 metres. The resort hosted the Winter Olympics in 1936 and has been a fixture on the World Cup circuit ever since, with the Kandahar downhill course ranking among the most technically demanding on the calendar. The skiing spans from the classic Garmisch Classic area to the high-altitude Zugspitze glacier, with the twin Bavarian villages below — their onion-domed churches and painted facades as much a part of the experience as the mountain itself. Serious skiing, serious history, and unmistakably German.

This premium framed print captures the alpine drama of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the vintage travel poster style of the Advent Alpine Series. Printed on museum-quality paper and finished in a natural oak or black ash frame, every piece arrives ready to hang and built to last.
