Breckenridge sits at 9,600 feet in the heart of Summit County, Colorado, its Victorian gold-rush Main Street visible from the mountain above. The ski area spans five interconnected peaks — Peaks 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 — rising to 12,998 feet at the top of Peak 8, making it the highest lift-accessed terrain on the continent. The Imperial Express SuperChair at the summit is the highest chairlift in North America. Above it, hike-to terrain pushes past 13,000 feet into genuinely alpine, above-treeline bowls where the wind scours the snow into perfect powder stashes.
Below the treeline, Breckenridge is a different mountain entirely — perfectly groomed blue cruisers through dense pine forest, wide open beginner terrain, and the kind of consistent, reliable snow that has made it one of the most visited ski resorts in the United States for decades.
