4x 24 and larger Hiking Trail Inspired personalized wood carved sign

These hiking trail / route marker name signs let you bring a small bit of your favourite mountain treck home ... or send to someone longing to be back.  The NEW style of our standard trail signs features rounded corners and natural wood edges (ie. only the front face is painted) for a more contemporary loo, but if you prefer the traditional version with the painted edges is still available ... and if it is to be visible from the rear you can have the back side painted too.

The main (larger) text is typically the trail name & then smaller text underneath could be the mountain, the national park, some stats for the trail ... you decide.

These signs are 4" tall & 24" wide as standard or several larger sizes are available ... there is also a separate listing for either a mini version (3" x 13") or MEDIUM (4" x 18") which are perfect as door signs.  The mini size are also often used as table markers for the likes of weddings and other big parties.

The standard sign seen in most of our photos is made from solid pine. IF THE SIGNS WILL BE OUTDOORS THEN YOU WANT THE FIR OPTION. The fir product comes with an exterior protective clear coat + fir stands up better to the elements compared to pine.

Please remember that wood by its very nature is an imperfect material with natural character and no two pieces are exactly the same. As with all our signs we will send you a rendering first once we get your order so you can make any corrections ... and then from there it takes only a few days before this is on it's way.

OPTIONAL CARVED QR CODE

Provided you've left enough space we can add a carved QR code which could, for example, be linked to your favourite POV video or your kids first hike or some other unforgettable moment.

DISTRESSED / WEATHERED LOOK

1. LIGHTLY DISTRESSED: sanded gently on edges and quickly over face to simulate weathering, then clear coat applied over the entire face.

2. MEDIUM DISTRESS: we would add a contrasting colour under the main colour so that it is revealed in parts when the distressing is performed eg. black under most colours so when the main colour (eg. blue) is sanded back on the edges it reveals some of the black which exagerates the distressed look.

The SKI PATROL sign is a prime example of medium distressing ... the revealed black almost looks like rot.

WALL MOUNTING

For indoors use our signs are intended to be mounted on the wall or a door or some other vertical flat surface. As of Jan 2022 we will supply FREE metal hangers with all our signs unless advised otherwise (select the appropriate option when ordering your sign). These are the type that slip over 2 screws on the surface so that the sign does not protrude more than about 1/8" from the wall.
